Force Crag

Force Crag from the path up Grisedale Pike

Force Crag is the great barrier of rock at the head of the Coledale Valley. The fell behind is Eel Crag, with Coledale Hause just to the right. The light blue at the bottom of the photo is the roof of Force Crag mine, the last working metal mine in the Lake District, abandoned in 1991.

Taken from the path from Braithwaite up to Grisedale Pike.
