The Unnamed Tarn
From the summit of Outerside, the view is dominated by the browns and greens of the heathers and grasses on Stile End (middle left) and Barrow (top right), however the unnamed tarn at Low Moss stands out like a jewel. That’s Keswick in the background.
The network of paths you can see are easily visible from this vantage point, but when you get down there they are not as easy to find as they look.
Outerside and Barrow are two fells on The Coledale Round, one of the more rewarding walks in The Lake District, and highly recommended.
