Well, it was a pretty rubbish day, weather-wise. I had to don my waterproofs 3 or 4 times while I was out walking. The weather managed to surprise me by clearing for a few minutes, allowing me to take the image above. The path I’m on is The Monarchs Way, which roughly follows the escape route taken by King Charles II after the Battle of Worcester in 1651. It is 615 miles (990 km) long – must have taken him a while.
