View from Hopegill Head
I was thinking about posting a view from Hopegill Head, and a comment to my previous post made it clear I should do so. From the summit of Hopegill Head, a ridge stretches due west for a mile to Whitside, with the cliffs of Gasgale Crags on the right, and the path clearly visible leading into the distance. In the distance, on the left, you catch a glimpse of Blake Fell, one of the Western Fells.
It looks a lovely walk, but my route that day was to head south over Coledale Hause to Wandope and Crag Hill. I’ll save the ridge walk for another day.
