I’m a big fan of the dry stone walls in the Cotswolds. They are much nicer to look at than the usual barbed wire fence, and they are a lot friendlier – I’ve never torn anything on a dry stone wall. This one is quite recent judging by the colour – they weather to a dull sheen.
It’s not yet dawn so the light is very blue. In the distance, Bredon Hill has a cap of cloud, which will not clear until mid-morning.
