I’m not counting this as a ‘lone tree in a field’ image because there are sheep.
This is the same tree as the previous image, taken a couple of minutes later, but from a different angle, and the light is completely different. The effect you get simply depends upon the way you look at things. Handy tip: don’t photograph everything from the same angle – walk around it and see what you get.
It’s interesting that the ground has been kept slightly warmer under the branches of the tree, and there is no frost present. I’m wondering if the branches are keeping slightly warmer air underneath?
