Sunset Glow

Sunset Glow

When photographing a sunset, the temptation is to roll out the wide-angle lens and capture a sweeping, sun-brightened, vista. The majority of the time, it ‘s all you need, but you don’t have to. Standing on a hill in Worcestershire, I spotted this interesting wash of colour in one part of the sky and horizon – on went the 55-200 zoom, and I fired off a set of shots at 200mm.

Because it is such a well known landmark to me, I can just make out, in the middle distance to the right of centre, the distinctive outline of the bell tower of Feckenham Church, five miles away from where I am standing.
