The lightship Sula has been a fixture of Gloucester Docks for the past four years, and is one of the most photographed vessels there. It is easy to see why as the bright red colour makes is the least inconspicuous vessel in the docks, by a considerable margin.
It seems to be home, at this point in time, to members of the Gloucester Buddhist community. If so, it definitely qualifies as the most unusual structure playing host to a religious community that I have photographed. Had it been open, I would have found it hard to resist the temptation to hop on board for a cup of tea.
