Dawn in the Sussex Heathland and the low sun gives some warm colour to the plants and trees.
I had Holly and Murphy with me – as photographic assistants go, they left a little to be desired, mostly on account of the fact they they both had the knack of wandering into frame just as I pressed the shutter. I would end up with a nice shot containing half a dog (and not always the front half!). In the end I decided on a tactic of setting up the shot, getting all ready to press the shutter, and then throwing a stick. In the brief interlude, as both dogs hunted noisily in the undergrowth, I could take the few shots I needed.
Set up again, rinse and repeat. I got into quite a rhythm after a while 🙂
