Standing on the ramparts of British Camp before dawn, I had an idea – take a silhouette of the tools a landscape photographer uses. As it was a spur of the moment decision, I used my iPhone. Expose for the sky and you’re pretty much done. I haven’t done much to the image other than to apply (a lot) of noise reduction – my iPhone does not care for low light conditions.
The ditch and ramparts of British Camp allowed me to set my tripod and camera on one of the ramparts while I took the photo from part way down into the ditch – just at the right angle to catch the colours in the sky as the sun approached the horizon. Next time I do this – I may bring my trusty old D40 and see what I get.
