Higger Tor in the Peak District is a popular place, especially, it seems, at sunset. There is roadside parking nearby and a 5 minute walk takes you up to the tor, which has views in every direction. You’ll see quite a few people turn up to watch the sunset, then head of back for tea. Or a beer. Or tea and a beer.
Although the light from the sun was muted by the cloud, I was not happy with the results using my ND grads, so I fired off an HDR set, which allowed me to capture all the colours in the sunset sky.
Over Owler Tor, another great photography location, is the knobbly bit left of centre. In the distance on the right is the Hope valley.
