On the way to the Peak District, we ended up on the road from Sheffield to Hathersage. It crosses the moors, then breaks through Millstone Edge and turns right and downhill across the edge. It’s called ‘Surprise View’ at that point. That morning we happened to reach Surprise View to see cloud filling the Hope valley – definitely stop-and-take-a-photograph time!
I climbed up onto the edge, threw on an ND grad filter and polariser, and fired away. Surprise View lived up to it’s name that morning.
