Distant Malvern Hills
About 20 miles from where I’m taking the photograph, the familiar outline of the Malvern Hills dominates the horizon. The highest point is Worcestershire Beacon, at 425m (or 1,394 feet in old money), and the hills really stand out from the low lying Severn Valley. Worcester is somewhere out of sight, between the Malverns themselves and the next nearest ridge.
Taking photographs into the setting sun can give a pleasing monochrome look to an image.
Photography stuff: 1/400 sec at f/9, 70-200mm f/2.8 lens at 200mm, handheld.
