Llanthony Priory View
On Saturday I arrived in the Black Mountains before dawn, hoping for some good light, but the weather had other ideas. Nevertheless, I spent some time around the ruins of Llanthony Priory taking a few images, then headed off up the valley before doubling back via the Offa’s Dyke path.
Low cloud meant poor visibility – so much so that I twice wandered into the midst of a herd of wild ponies before either of us noticed anything amiss.
Photography stuff: 12-24mm lens at 12mm, tripod, 2 stop Lee ND grad filter, ISO 400, f/9.0. three image HDR set at 1/10, 1/20, and 1/40 sec.
