I had to photograph these interesting crystalline patterns in the ice this morning. Although the lake had a good covering of ice, and there was plenty of frost around, it didn’t seem that cold. The light was good – and that’s what really counts.
That said – the local sailing club is going to have to hire an icebreaker if they are to get anyone out this morning!
Photography stuff: 12-24mm lens at 24mm, 1/50 sec at f/16, e stop ND grad filter, tripod, and a little bit of editing in Lightroom.
