Higger Tor taken from the ramparts of Carl Wark hill fort. This looks to be a good location by my reckoning – the sun rises behind this viewpoint, so I’ve noted it down as a potentially great place for photos at sunrise.
I could have taken this without a tripod, but I wanted to set up the composition and sort out what filters I needed. I had all day so no rush.
Photography stuff: 12-24mm lens at 12mm, 1/60 sec at f/10, tripod, 3 stop graduated ND filter (hard) to hold back the sky.
