Burnham Low Lighthouse

Burnham Low Lighthouse is much photographed, and justifiably so. It makes a great subject, siting just below the high tide mark, meaning that there is ample scope for different images. The tide goes out a long way here, but you still have to be careful – it comes rushing back in and can catch you out.

Photography stuff: 18-55mm lens at 55mm, 5 seconds at f/16 (maximising depth of field as I wanted the sand ripples in the foreground to be sharp), tripod.
