Beach Long Exposure

Conditions at Nash Point were ideal for a few long exposure images – so I was able to try a couple of things. I wanted to try to catch the trails as each wave receded, and I worked out 6 seconds seemed an ideal time, so that’s what I set my exposure to, using various filters and aperture combinations to get the shutter speed just right.

A low sun gave a little light to the scene.

Photography stuff: 18-70mm lens at 22mm, 6 seconds at f/6.3, 2 stop ND filter, 3 stop hard graduated ND filter to hold back the sky, tripod.
