Hanbury Hall Frontage

© Gerard Tohill 2016

This is the view of Hanbury Hall as you head up the drive from the visitor car park.

I waited patiently to get this image, while the visitors wandered up the drive to the hall. I wanted to capture the front without any people in shot. This time of year, and with the sort of weather we’re getting, I did not have to wait long.

I envisaged this as a black and white image, and I edited it (in Lightroom) to give what I hope is a dramatic look.

Photography stuff: 18-70mm lens at 44mm, 1.100 sec at f/9.0, tripod, two stop soft graduated ND filter to hold back the sky.
