Sgwd Yr Eira

Sgwd Yr Eira translates as ‘falls of snow’. The waterfall sits in it’s own amphitheatre, and is a great subject for a long exposure image.

Crossing from one side to the other is accomplished by simply walking behind the falls. You don’t get very wet at all.

Photography stuff: 18-70mm lens at 18mm, 3 seconda at f/9.0, tripod, 3 stop neutral density filter to allow a slow shutter speed (I actually cheated by using the dark portion of  a 3 stop hard graduated ND filter – you can get away with it as long as the focal length is not too short).
