Serenity sitting on the shingle at Selsey, with the picturesque lifeboat station in the background.

A very early start for this one – up at 04:30 in order to be on the beach at least half an hour before sunrise. That time of the morning, even on a Bank Holiday, traffic is not an issue.

Photography stuff: 12-24mm lens at 12mm, 6 seconds at f/22, 2 stop graduated ND filter to hold back the sky, 3 stop ND filter* to slow down the exposure, tripod.

*The Lee graduated ND filters cover so much that I can easily use the dark end of a 3 stop graduated ND filter as an ND filter in itself. Job done!
