Studio Shoot
Well – my first studio shoot, and with a professional model. Exciting times!
I’ve learned a lot on this shoot. It was well worth paying a professional model, as she did all the hard work of posing, which allowed me to just get on and make a mess of the photography 🙂
I thoroughly enjoyed it, and JoJo was a great model. I’ll be making a booking again.

Photography stuff: 50mm lens, 1/250 sec at f/1.8, studio lights – one light far right of image, one just left of model.
Nice shot. So you didn’t have to give her directions on the look you were after?
Thank you. No – I didn’t have to direct her – I just told her what I wanted and she sorted it. As soon as I realised that, I could get on with the job of being a photographer, so there was a huge benefit for me.
Well done! This is one aspect of photography I have not tackled. I suspect it is hard to abstract a positive image
It’s a different challenge certainly, and somewhat out of my comfort zone – that said, I’m enjoying it immensely, and learning new skills.
